Razer Phone is a smartphone that is devoted to playing games. This phone is sold at a price of 699 US dollars or equivalent $950.
The Razer game company known for making games for laptops, this time launches a smartphone. Razer at the beginning of last year bought Nextbit, a mobile phone company that launched Nextbit Robin's phone. Since then rumors have surfaced that Razer will make a smartphone.

Razer Phone was released this afternoon, Thursday (2/11/2017) at an event in London. This phone is sold at a price of 699 US dollars or about $950. They will soon open pre-orders and this phone will be shipped first to North America and Europe on 17 November.

As quoted from Techcrunch, Android-based phone is made specifically for playing games, so there are some specifications are quite astounding.

The Razer Phone is made of an aluminum CNC chassis, has a 24 bit DAC, and offers two front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos sound, each with its own amp, and THX certified (the first for the phone).

Razer claims that his cell phone is the loudest phone ever. On the other hand, the device does not have a 3.5mm headset jack, but with a USB-C adapter to connect to headphones in the box.

Razer Phone carries a 5.7-inch QGD IGZO LCD screen and refresh rate of 120Hz, meaning the screen will refresh super-fast for scroll and very smooth for animation and movement in the game. This screen is called twice as good as any mobile device. The iPad Pro tablet has a 120hz screen, but it looks like Razer is the first to market a 120hz screen on the phone.

The screen is in sync with the used GPU UltraMotion, developed with Qualcomm to ensure there is no lag even at high frame rates. The good news, this does not seem to affect battery life.

Razer Phone uses Snapdragon 835 chipset, just like the high-end Android smartphones slid this year. However, the chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM, something that is still rare in the smartphone.

The smart phone is equipped with 12 MP dual rear camera with f / 1.75 openings and 13MP zoom lens with 2x f / 2.6 openings, and dual LED. On the front, pinned 8MP camera with f / 2.0 openings for selfie.

Razer Phone also features an existing fingerprint sensor on the power button on the side. This phone is based on Android Nougat 7.1.1, which is promised to update to Oreo on Q1 next year.

For storage space, Razer Phone provides 64GB space which can be added with external memory. The device is also equipped with a large battery that is 4000 mAh.

With the capacity of these batteries, Razer claims can be used to watch movies for 12.5 hours, listen to music for 63.5 hours, and play Hearthstone for 7 hours. With Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0+ support, Razer also mentions the battery can be charged from 0 to 85 percent in just one hour.
